Sánchez-Casal Academy celebrates its 20 years of history opening a new location in Atlanta, Georgia (USA), in partnerhip with Life Time, one of the largest tennis operators in USA. The new ASC Academy, located in the Life Time Peachtree Corners (Atlanta, Georgia) is the 4th Academy for ASC, the 2nd in USA.

The main objective of this partnership is to provide Youth Players Additional Opportunities, giving junior tennis players additional long term development options.

A NEW ADVANCED AND TRANSITION PROGRAM FOR JUNIOR TENNIS PLAYERS

Building on the strength of Life Time’s comprehensive junior tennis programs, Sánchez and his ASC coaches will introduce an advanced and transition program and provide college coach connections for Life Time Tennis juniors aspiring to play collegiate tennis and even compete in the professional ranks.

Now, Live Time Peachtree Corners junior players will be able to train following the same training system that helped to develop elite players such as Svetlana Kuznetsova, Andy Murray, Grigor Dimitrov and Daniela Hantuchova, among others.

ANNUAL PROGRAMS

Pre-Advanced: Age 11 to 17. Clearly orientated to competition. Fully compatible with school or home-schooling.Advanced College Prep: Age 14 to 18. Fully compatible with school or home-schooling with emphasis and guidance on the university placement and college tennis process.Advanced Tour Prep: Age 14 to 18. Fully compatible with school or home-schooling and completely oriented to a professional tennis career.Transition Tour Prep: Age 18 to 20. Completely oriented to develop a professional tennis career.

WEEKLY PROGRAMS

Designed for those players, from 11 to 20 years old, who want to improve their game with an intensive weekly program, all ASC Weekly programs incorporate the basics of the ASC 360 Tennis System® and follow the same methodology and objectives as our annual programs.

SUMMER CAMP

The ASC Summer Camp is designed for players from around the world. The Sanchez-Casal System allows all levels of players to enjoy high performance training. Basic, intermediate and/or advanced level players will all thrive within the ASC training environment. For players from 11 to 20 years old.

All the programs can be structured in two different formats: FULL DAY or HALF DAY.

ASC PYRAMID®

Sánchez-Casal Academy created the ASC Player Development and Competition Plan, summarized in the Sánchez-Casal Pyramid©, which shows players the path to success in the professional world of tennis.

Each stage of the Pyramid relates the approximate age of the player with the aspects that must be consolidated during each stage, and the objectives that must be reached. In the Academy, the entire process is supervised and evaluated by the player’s tutor, who creates personalized objectives for improvement every season.

In addition, specialized coaches in each developmental area work on specific aspects in order to help the player achieve these objectives.

Sánchez-Casal Academy ensures that each player achieves appropriate progress and is in the right position to maximize his/her competence at all times.

TENNIS IN GEORGIA

Tennis has always been a very rooted sport in Georgia, especially in Atlanta, location with a great tennis community. In fact, the Atlanta Community Tennis Association (ACTA)/ League Atlanta (aka USTA Atlanta) organizes and administers, under the auspices of GTA/USTA the largest USA League Tennis in the country.

Furthermore, the Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association, founded in the early 1900’s, is now the world’s largest local tennis association with over 80,000 members. It administers and sponsors Junior Leagues in all age groups, plus Adult and Senior programs.

ASC – LIFE TIME ACADEMY IS INAUGURATED ON MARCH 8TH – 9TH, 2019

The ASC had its grand opening ceremony at Lifetime Peachtree in Atlanta on March 8th-9th, 2019, complete with the classic “ribbon cutting” ceremony. Emilio Sánchez, ASC Founder and CEO, was joined by Ajay Pant, National Tennis Director of Life Time, and by William Rennie, General Manager of Life Time Peachtree Corners, as well as by the main local personalities from Peachtree Corners and Gwinnett County: Phil Sadd, from the City Council, and Brian Johnson, the City Manager.

After the ribbon cutting ceremony, a Tennis Legends Exhibition was played, with Emilio Sánchez, Pavel Slozil (formerly Steffi Graf’s coach), Mikael Pernfors (former ATP player No.10 Individual) and Luke Jensen (former ATP player no. 6 Doubles) coming head to head.

On Saturday 9th, an Open House event and a free Clinic where attended by more than 100 players. All participants were divided into groups, and were able to experience to the unique ASC 360 Tennis System®, thanks to the ASC coaches and other staff like Lucas Regas, Pavel Slozil, Victor Hugo Camargo and Eric Higginson.

ASC is grateful for the support of Pete Bauer (Global Caps), a frequent partner of the Academy, as well as for the collaboration of Catalin Gard, Calvin Kemp and Davor Dekaris.

The ASC-Life Time Academy will start training junior players on 15th April, 2019.
