COMPETITIVE SUMMER PROGRAM: Train and travel to tournaments with the ASC Team
The Competitive Summer Program is not a recreational camp. It is an intensive two-weeks (minimum) training program that begins with one week of training in the ASC facilities, and which culminates in participation at an appropriate tournament for each player (international or national), joining the annual student-athletes of the Academy and the ASC coaches in charge of our Travelling Teams.
The goal of the program is to make better competitive players, work on their competitive skills (technical, tactical and mental) and give them resources to try to get better results in competition.
The Competitive Summer Program is available to players in the U12 to U18 categories (Players born from 2003 to 2009).
We strongly recommend that parents register their child on the tournament of their choice in order to reserve the spot before registering for this program.
Spots in this program are limited and players must have a certain level of English to qualify.
FIRST WEEK: TRAINING AT ASC
Players joining the Competitive Summer Program must spend at least one-week training with us at the Academy facilities, as it is necessary to work on the player’s pattern before leaving for a tournament. During this first week, our coaches get to know the player, their strengths and their weaknesses. Together, they will work with specific exercises aimed at improving the player’s competitive skills.
Similarly, the first week is necessary so that new players, coaches and annual student-athletes can meet, get to know each other and, the following week, travel together as a totally integrated team.
From the very first days of the program, new players will train and be integrated with our current year-round student-athletes from the Academy.
Optional Video analysis: We can use video analysis as a tool to find the strengths and weaknesses of each player. Through video analysis, we can detect repetitive and questionable forms or styles of play, and we can develop strategies to overcome them.

SECOND WEEK: TOURNAMENT
ASC prepares its annual student-athletes to compete in the main Tennis Europe and ITF tournaments. A personalized program for each player is created to include local, regional, national and international tournaments throughout the year.
Travelling teams are run by skilled ASC Senior Coaches who accompany, train and provide support to ASC student-athletes before, during and after tournaments. Competitive Summer Program players will join these travelling teams.
We suggest that parents of interested players get in touch with the Admissions department to talk about the tournaments we have planned, in order to assist and determine which tournament is best suited for each player. We strongly recommend that parents register their child on the tournament of their choice in order to reserve the spot before registering for this program.
Assistance from the ASC team is offered during all stages of the tournament experience, from travel planning and training, to competition.
The tournaments selected can change right up to the last moment, due to the player registrations and acceptances in each tournament. The ASC team to find the best solution in each case, in collaboration with the player’s parents.
